Tapping [ EFT] and the science behind it:

EFT is a gentle technique that involves tapping, with your own fingertips on different parts of your own body. Acupuncture theory teaches that energy flows through our body along pathways called meridians. Sometimes that energy is negative and becomes blocked by physical or emotional trauma and life experiences. We can disperse negative energy from our own bodies by accessing these meridians via acupuncture points and tapping on these specific areas. We then restore balance, begin to heal any negative energy and calm disruption. This can bring many benefits to our emotional and physical being.

How can tapping rewire the brain and calm the nervous system?

It’s a kind of counselling intervention that draws on various theories of alternative medicine including acupuncture, neurolinguistic programming, energy medicine, and Thought Field Therapy. It’s a gentle technique that involves you tapping on the energy meridians in your own body. This action disperses the negative energy in your body because of physical and emotional trauma and experiences. All negative emotions are felt through a disruption of the body’s energy. The body, like everything in the universe, is composed of energy. Restore balance to the body’s energy, and you will mend the negative emotions and physical symptoms that stem from the energy disruption. Tapping restores the body’s energy balance, and negative emotions are conquered.
